Pacific Choice Seafood Company, on the north California coast, was
formed December 31, 1986 when Pacific Seafood Company of Clackamas,
Oregon purchased the assets of the Tom Lazio Fish Company, Inc.
The processing plant was constructed in 1975 on the Eureka waterfront,
and supports the major industry of the community. Pacific Choice Seafood's
is a significant employer in the community, year round and supports
a substantial fishing fleet along the coast.
In 1991, the plant was completely remodeled and updated under the strict
guidelines of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Even today the Eureka
plant is considered one of the most modern and up to date seafood processing
facilities on the west coast.
Situated on Humboldt Bay in Eureka, California, Pacific Choice is a
Primary Processor of West Coast Bottomfish, Salmon, Shrimp, Dungeness
Crab and Albacore Tuna. The Plant currently processes over 20-million
pounds of finished product annually, serving Fresh and Frozen Markets
throughout the United States as well as the European, Asian and the
Middle East.
Our 50,000 square foot processing facility, operates under strict H.A.C.C.P.
guidelines and regular Inspection by both the State and Federal Food
and Drug Administrations. Our 170 employees take pride in producing
the highest quality products available on the West Coast.
In February of 1989, Pacific Choice made a major expansion move into
Charleston, Oregon, by purchasing the assets of Orca Seafood Company,
today the Bandon Pacific facility. This expansion allowed Pacific Choice
to virtually double its processing capabilities as well as substantially
add to its raw material procurement base.
In 2001 the Pacific Seafood Group acquired Eureka Fisheries and consolidated
operations to maximize facilities and better control quality of products.
This acquisition brought with it numerous buying stations in smaller
ports from the Canadian border to Northern California coasts.
In order to satisfy ever-growing need for product, the company draws
raw material from our satellite buying stations located in Brookings,
Oregon and Crescent City, California. In addition, Pacific Choice also
contracts with outside companies, located in San Francisco, Bodega Bay
and Fort Bragg, California, to unload seafood from our fleet, on our
behalf.

BOTTOMFISH: Dover sole, English Sole, Petrale Sole, Dabs, Pacific
Rockfish, Sablefish, Channel Rock, Ling Cod, Grenadier, Pacific Whiting.
All products available Fresh Whole, Fillet or H & G and Frozen Shatter
Pack or block.
SALMON: Pacific Troll Caught available Fresh or frozen Filleted,
Steaked or Dressed.
PACIFIC SHRIMP: Cooked and Peeled ready to eat, available fresh
or frozen I.Q.F. All product packed to specifications and sized 150-250
ct., 250-350 ct, 350-500 ct, 500 ct and Up.
DUNGENESS CRAB: Fresh and Frozen Whole Cooked, Sections, picked
Crabmeat, Single Legs and Snap & Eats.
ALBACORE TUNA: Fresh and Frozen, available either Whole, loined
or dressed.
NEW PRODUCTS:
PACIFIC OYSTERS: Grown exclusively in Humboldt Bay for Pacific
Choice, these premium cultured oysters are grown off-bottom free of
mud and sand. Currently only available Live In-Shell. Pacific Choice
is a State and Federally Certified Shellfish Shipper.
