SUMMARY

 

 

 

Purpose.........

To balance inventory and process adjustments to inventory

Scope............

Develop, implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations

 

 

Required........

Must have strong prioritization skills and be able to meet deadlines.  Follow through on commitments and complete projects in a timely manner.

 

DUTIES

 

Typical...........

Duties include but not limited to:

Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times

Maintain a high level of employee commitment to the Diamond Philosophy such that all work performed measures up to the expectation of our customers

 

Deliver inventory when needed

 

Replenish products

 

Track inventory usage via computer

 

Create efficient and accurate inventory management procedures

 

H.A.C.C.P., S.S.O.P., CoOL Act standards are met.

 

Proper Icing and rotation of all fresh products

 

Reconcile inventories to book records and make adjustments when necessary

 

Coordinate the statistical inventory activities

 

Assist with the implementation and administration of a loss prevention program

 

Conduct stock search to locate products within the system

 

Implement appropriate actions to customer demands

 

Provide recommendations to resolve inventory issues

 

Adjust records when there are discrepancies between actual product and records; take steps to correct and prevent discrepancies

 

Receive inventory transfers

 

Pull downs

 

Cycle counts

 

Proof receiving

 

Warehouse transfers

 

Print SKU’s

 

Cover buyers’ vacations

 

Enter transfer & balance adjustments

 

Create slot export

 

Review requisitions and set-up new inventory items

 

Perform daily cycle counts and make system adjustments after completing all necessary recounts and system searches

 

Reduce and eliminate freight expedites when possible

 

Record all audits, counts and adjustments; file and retain as necessary

 

Perform other duties, as assigned

EDUCATION

 

Required........

Ideal candidates will have a high school degree.  Should possess or should obtain the knowledge, skills, and disciplines needed to carry out the functions assigned to the individual occupying this position.

EXPERIENCE

 

Required........

Two years of experience.  Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and possess solid computer skills.  Knowledge of MS Office applications, AS400 and adding machine usage are required.
